The news is bad, the situation is worse. The virus has the USA and the world at a standstill. You know how bad it is when all the casinos in Vegas have shut off their lights and closed their restaurants and locked their doors.
I haven’t been anywhere near the Strip, but all the people who have kept the casino running are out of work.
The only place I’ve been out to is the nearest grocery store, which as we all know, are not being re-stocked. There is no bread available, no meat either. I’ve got about 1 1/2 six pack of Pepsi, a bit of Spaghetti. Also KFC looks like its ready for a hurricane in Vegas. Correction: there is no more KFC!
Is this something biblical? I keep remembering everything that happened in Egypt. All the locusts, the famine, the frogs, etc. Doesn’t this virus resemble the locusts? Locusts ate/eat all the crops, food, etc. Also the locusts described as having men’s faces? It makes you wonder
An earthquake in Utah, and New York? I am sure there are more of those to come. I am waiting for California to finally have the second big one!
I don’t know about the mark of the beast…yet. And I am not frankly worried about it. I do know that those who have a deep faith and belief are now hunkering down, while those who don’t.. are in a panic already.
Someone in China did this.. I don’t know if it was the anti-christ, or if it was someone who was messing with what they shouldn’t have been messing with. But it wasn’t someone from the north, or south. It wasn’t even someone from Egypt. Will the anti-christ rise up soon? If you ask some people I am sure they will say yes. But we know that there are many anti-christs right now. The ones who are hoarding all the groceries (and God only knows why the toilet paper… )
Then again, I am reminded of the history of the Great Depression.. the poverty, and the sandstorms. I remember the stories and articles I read where they seemed to go on forever.
America, and the world may seem to be going downhill. But Christians everywhere know there is only one way to look.. and that’s up!

There are several Bible verses that refer to lamps. Proverbs 31:18b tells us ‘her lamp does not go out at night’. This is not a reference to the night-light we use to get us to the bathroom in the middle of the night because our bladders are shot from childbirth or our bodies are aging. The night lights of ancient times were kept lit so a weary traveler would know a welcoming home. The use of lamps in this verse suggests we are not only to be hospitable but ready to be hospitable.

So begins the Holiday season of 2016. This promises to be a very interesting season. Not just because it’s the Holidays. This season will extend well beyond the Holidays.
It’s been quite a year with the nation divided between political parties. I haven’t written much in terms of the political race. I see absolutely nothing good coming from either end. This is not a rare issue for me. I absolutely abhor everything to do with Washington and it’s politics. I also have grown to be very leery of Christians who start in on the merits of a given political figure. The way I personally feel about it: As a Christian, you may mention a political candidate/figure once…after that I figured that anything more is evil. This is not a matter of Kingship…or Heaven-bound authority. All kingdoms of the earth will eventually bow down to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Christians really need to WAKE UP during this season. It always boils down to the fact that I personally see Christians replacing their personal soul saving sermons with a personal vendetta to oust any political leader…this is clearly not biblical! Yes, we are to expose the truth for truth and a lie for a lie.
But what do we do when the truth and the lie have already been exposed?
We move on of course. There is nothing more to see here, nothing more to witness. A crime scene gets old rather quickly, the body of evidence is taken, the scene is washed of any blood spilled, carpets replaced, walls painted, and finally the light comes in!
Barack Obama may be hated for who he is, and what he represents. But let’s not forget, that though he is a descendant of the moslem faith, he is not the first President to do wrong, he won’t be the last. But Christians go after him with todo gusto.
I don’t hate Nixon for the Watergate scandal. I don’t blame Bill Clinton for being an adulterer, and I don’t blame Obama for the terrorist attacks and other failures. Why? Because if all eyes were on me, I’d be the greatest sinner on earth.
All the modern day Presidents have done wrong, and they will continue to do wrong. From Nixon, to Clinton, to Bush and on to Obama…Political leaders have done very little to push the progress of our country. No leader can take any huge strides anymore to do that because change happens slowly!
Yet Christians are putting our government leaders under the magnifying glass. They are searching…but for what? Mistakes? A kill switch? Perhaps they are searching for the Messiah all over again, as the Messianic Jews have been. It certainly seems very clear that almost all Christians who have gotten involved with exposing the doings of a government have forgotten one thing: a double edged sword can swing both ways. We tend to forget that we ourselves are under a magnifying glass.
Our God is definitely not a favorable deity. He can, and will, put anyone He chooses in office. He kept a man who failed to be a king in office (Saul), and according to David no one could say anything against him. President Obama is in office today because many a Christian called for change, or no change. Well they got change alright. You see, it all goes back to the Biblical example of Israel wanting a king to rule them. They didn’t want a God, THE God, as a supreme leader.
We need a righteous leader, and in fact we yearn after one. It occurs to me that no other leader is righteous, except God, and in truth, everything about this election, and others like it, are full of the same thing. You see, there is really no change at all: a government without God as the head, will always fail.
Now, I don’t know about you…but if I gave my children everything they ever wanted or needed, but I saw them going after a surrogate father, I would be HIGHLY disappointed. I would reason that my children would know better than that. But alas…to another they do go.
Folks, when we lift up anything, and anyone, before God, we are committing an atrocious form of idolatry.
NOTHING, AND I REPEAT NOTHING AND NO ONE ELSE IS MORE DESERVING OF OUR TIME AND EFFORTS OUTSIDE OF GOD. No leader, no human is worthy of 100% of our attention.

It comes as no surprise that this is one of the strangest political seasons in history. Two highly polarizing candidates have left many Americans, including many Bible-believing Christians, on the fence.
Yet at a “Pastors and Pews” event in Orlando last week, I heard former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee say: “Every year, everyone says it’s the most important election of our lifetime. But folks, I’m not messing—this really is the most important election of our lifetime.”
In the primaries, I backed Ted Cruz, but the day he dropped out of the race I endorsed Donald Trump—not because he’s a perfect candidate, but because he’s an effective leader and because the alternative, Hillary Clinton (and the platform of the Democratic Party) are 100 times worse.
I had the opportunity to interview Donald Trump last week for the cover story of the October issue of Charisma. I will write about that more later. But today I’m calling to your attention an article we ran on Charisma News last week by Pastor Jim Garlow of Skyline Church in San Diego, California that has gone viral.
Jim sent me something he posted on his Facebook page, which made a very strong argument that Christians must get out and vote. I sent it to my wife and a few friends. My wife, Joy, was really impressed because his arguments took the election out of the realm of personalities (a lot of Christians don’t like either Trump or Hillary so they won’t vote for either) to the level of what future we want for the nation. She’s right, so I asked Jim to write it as an opinion piece. So far, the article has gathered more than 30,000 shares and more than 498,000 page views. You can read it here in eight minutes. It’s so important that we’re going to put a version of it in the October issue of Charisma Magazine. But, I need you to help me get out the word now by posting it on your own social media.
I recorded a 20-minute podcast about this article in which Garlow articulates that the party platform of the Republicans is so good from a biblical point of view—contrasted with the Democratic platform, which is almost socialist—that it alone should cause Christians to vote and to do everything they can to back Trump. You can listen to it here for his other very interesting points.
I know this is very divisive (the comments on my own Facebook page tell me that). But this is too important to sit it out. There are other sources of information about this election. But, I believe the podcast and article by Jim Garlow sums everything up with this headline (that I personally wrote): “If You’re On the Fence About Your Vote, This Pastor Clarifies How the Very Future of America Is At Stake.”

Any Christian that sins has a right to say they sin. They also have a right to point out sin. However, they do not have a right to excuse sin. I have seen too many Christians come to the aid of an unrighteous sinner: advocating sin. Instead of rebuking the sinner in sternness and love, they end up rebuking the sinner who recognizes sin and calls it as it is.
As Christians we are on a mission, to set captives free. But we cannot do so in the face of sin which is so prevalent in society today. So many of us are sin affirming that we forget all about what Jesus came to do and accomplished before and on the cross. Today we shake hands with the enemy instead of rebuking the enemy. Truth: when God judges us as Christians, He won’t be asking us how many times we forgave sin, but how many times we exposed it.
It’s no longer a matter of who sins against us. It’s who stood up for righteousness. We seem to be on the cusp of losing our religion. The Christian who is bold enough to stand up to the enemy of God is getting closer and closer to the day when he or she will find that 10,000 will be falling on their left and right side.
It’s time, as Christians, to choose which side you are on. Sitting or standing on the fence does no purpose except to trip you over to the side you would rather not be on! If you love righteousness and mercy, you will plant your seed on the good ground, so that your roots will shoot down well into the ground and establish you in your faith.
If you find yourself weak in the faith, and are rocked forward and backwards, then you will sink and drown into the tempestuous waters. God has warned you time and time again not to take your eyes off Him, and that you must establish yourself in the faith. You need to read your Bible, understand the Word, and make it a living part of your life. No, not just one page – not just one verse, but the whole bible. Both the good and the bad. Take nothing out of where it belongs, put nothing in where it doesn’t. This way you will not be one sided, but well rounded.
Justice is not hell bound my friends! What you sow, that is what you reap. If you sow bitterness at those who preach the truth, you will reap the bitterness of God towards you on judgement day. You did not stand up for His righteous truth. You did not speak the Truth, but a lie. Your father is not God, but the devil.
Today we must be bold and preach much judgment followed by much greater mercy. Judgement because it is coming and will not delay once it starts. Preaching a merciful gospel to deaf ears has gone on for far too long. The church is asleep and is dying. Those who care for the Truth are few.
It’s not ok to allow sin into our lives.
It’s not ok to pass sin on the street without saying a word. All over the pages of the Bible we have bold men and women speaking out for the truth. If you are a Christian, you will also speak out the truth. No matter how daring and how unpopular the truth is. Look around you as you walk the streets of the city. Look at all the signs of freedom. We have the freedom of sex, of adultery, of scorn, of evil rebellion. Today what is good is evil, and what is evil is good.. We no longer have the freedom of religion, nor of speech. The early Christian of the Bible knew h or she was an endangered species, but instead of being shut up, they roared like a hungry lion, longing to devour sin.
Are we Christians involved in adultery? Are we in bed with the devil when we are supposed to be the Bride of Christ? The Bible tells us that we are adorned in white, not dressed in black. Are you heading for a funeral, or are you heading for the empty tombstone?
CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.
CHOOSE TODAY WHOM YOU WILL CALL MASTER.
You are either a slave of Jesus Christ, or a puppet of the devil. There is no in-between!
What is happening to the church? Wake up from your slumber and turn on your lights. Let’s get it down and shine the light on this wickedness that is enveloping us. Sin has gone on too rampant and is killing us. We are warriors and not victims! We are Overcomers!
Call out sin for what it is. REMEMBER, REVIVAL ISN’T GOING TO START UNLESS YOU START IT. It’s all on your shoulders.
Either you are a screaming prophet, or you are a whimpering coward!
THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR THE INTENT OF YOUR EVIL, SILENT HEART. EITHER YOU SHUT EVIL UP, OR YOU LOOSE IT ON THE EARTH.
GOD’S JUDGEMENT AND WRATH NOW FALLS ON YOUR OWN HEAD!
We cannot show true mercy to those who are perishing if we hold back the truth. We cannot show faithfulness to our Lord and Savior if we do not expose the sins of the world.
Do you love Jesus? Do you honor your heavenly Father? Then do not hold back the truth! We cannot show faithfulness to our Lord and Savior if we do not expose the sins of the world.
Do not let your light grow dim in the face of evil. Do not continually hide your light in the presence of evil. Stand up and Speak out! Souls are dying, lives are perishing.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is on your hands. Do not wash your hands!
If we love those whom we consider our brothers and sisters in the church we will storm the gates of the earthbound church and expose the hypocrisy and sins and drive the demons of hell out of the pulpits and pews where they do not belong.
